An integral component of these programs is community involvement and community education. Here Conservation Volunteers Australia Community Educator David Reid teaches school children about the Ross River as part of the community education campaign.

TCC Environmental Management Services coordinates the community waterway and total Watercycle Education Program with CVA in partnership with Citiworks, Citiwater, NQ Water, GBRMPA , Fishwatch Committee, Louisa Creekwatch and Sunfish.
